3003 Aluminum Coil
3003 alloy, commonly known as aluminum-manganese alloy, uses manganese as the main alloying element. Features: good rust resistance, not suitable for heat treatment, good corrosion resistance, good welding performance, good plasticity, low strength but suitable for cold work hardening. 3003 alloy is mainly used for decoration, cooling devices, exterior walls, storage rooms, building panels, etc. 3003 aluminum alloy is an aluminum-manganese alloy that is approximately 20% stronger than alloy 1100. This alloy is easily formed by conventional methods of cold or hot working. Quanshuo offers 3003 Aluminum, Timber and Checkered panels that comply with ISO Standard 6361 and ASTM Standards B209, B210, B211, B221, B483, B491 and B547. 3003-H14 is a softer, more formable aluminum plate, 3003 checkered plate increases the rigidity of the material and hides fingerprints and dents. Commonly used states are H14, H16, H18, and other states can also be provided according to customer requirements.

Product Description

3003 aluminum coil is the most widely used aluminum alloy. It consists of aluminum, copper, iron, manganese, silicon, and zinc. Because of its strong corrosion resistance and moderate strength, it is widely used. 3003 aluminum coil is 20% stronger than 1100-grade alloy because of its fused manganese.

Since it is not heat-treatable, it must be strengthened using cold working alone.
The most common applications for 3003 aluminum coil are fuel tanks, sheet metal fabrication, and other types of projects that require a stronger metal than 1100 series aluminum. In some cases, it is used in cookers, refrigerator panels, gas lines, storage tanks, garage doors, architectural hardware, and awning slats.

Machinability of 3003 Aluminum is considered an aluminum alloy with good machinability. It is easily machined for different applications. It can be formed using conventional hot or cold working. 3003 aluminum can also be formed using conventional welding methods. Sometimes it is welded to other aluminum alloys such as 6061, 5052, and 6062 which should have AL 4043 filler rods.

AL 3003 is not heat-treatable but can be forged at temperatures between 500 and 950 degrees Fahrenheit. Aluminum can be easily hot worked when using heat in this range. However, it is readily cold-workable and can be done using traditional methods. When annealing the alloy during or after using cold working techniques, it should be done at 775°F. This will give it enough time to heat thoroughly before air cooling. The only way to harden this alloy is to use cold working. It can also be deep drawn, spun, or brazed.
