C28000 brass, commonly known as Muntz metal, is a copper-zinc alloy composed of approximately 60% copper and 40% zinc. C280 Muntz is most commonly found in sheet and sheet. Cu Zn40 is considered a duplex alpha + beta brass with excellent hot workability but lower corrosion resistance than C464 naval brass.

C28000 Muntz is commonly used in architectural applications including decorative panels, elevators, decorative work and signage.
