Galvalume steel coil is a steel with an aluminum and zinc coating to prevent oxidation. Steel coils coated with aluminum-zinc alloy through a continuous hot-dip plating process. This coating provides corrosion resistance to the steel. Often used in roofing, siding and other construction applications.

The name "Galvalume" is a combination of "galvanized" and "aluminum" and reflects the fact that the coating is composed of these two materials. The coating consists of aluminum (55%), silicone (1.6%) and zinc (43.4%).
