MR-grade tin coils have low residual element content and good corrosion resistance. They are usually used for general purposes such as packaging containers. The amount of tin plating on tin plate coils refers to the amount of tin plating and is an indicator of the thickness of the tin layer. Tin-plated coils are expressed in terms of the amount of tin plating per unit area (g/m2). Generally, the greater the amount of tin plating, the thicker the tin layer, and the better the corrosion resistance.
